The fireworks at Nojiriko are immensely impressive.
The Nojiriko fireworks are all launched over the waters of the lake and reflect and fall back down into the waters. Many people arrive early and set up all along the side of the large lake.
Others book places in the lake side restaurants and you can even book a place on the ferry to watch the fireworks from on the lake.
Where ever you decide to watch the fireworks from you are guaranteed to be extremely close. This is the closest I have ever been to a firework display and the sound is deafening as the large rockets explode and fill your vision with their bright lights. The whole of Nojiriko is used to launch the fireworks from various places all around the lake. Several times fireworks are launched from several locations all at once and the fireworks literally fill the whole sky. There are many large firework displays in Japan but what makes this one so special is that you are sitting right next to them. This is one of the best displays you will see.
