Seeking Nirvana

 In News, snow

In January this year the team behind the amazing seeking Nirvana web series headed to Japan to experience Japans amazing powder snow and rich craftsman culture that is intertwined with the experience of the search for perfection on the mountain.

After experiencing other areas of Japan, the team headed to Myoko armed with snowboards they had crafted by hand with a master craftsman in Gunma prefecture. The final stop on their journey through Japan saw them filming the final scenes for Season 3 episode one “The Lost Craftsmen”.

From Myoko they headed to see the world famous wild monkey park, Jigokudani. They also hiked up to the stunning Naena waterfall in Myoko Suginosawa area. On the final day of their stay Myoko was hit with fresh snow so they could grab their newly handmade snowboards and head to the slopes at Akakura Onsen & Kanko ski resorts to test them out on the fresh powder.

Please enjoy their amazing movie, and I hope it leaves you with the feeling that you want to hit the amazing Myoko powder again next season.
